Atiya Henry was born on March 29th, 1989 to Mr. Bruce & Min. Deborah Henry. She is the oldest daughter of a older brother, a younger sister, and the God-Daughter of Min. Sierra McKinney. Atiya has been singing since the age of 6 and of course, it was a daily hobby for her. But little did she know that God had a different plan for her life. At the age of 7 Atiya did her first praise dance to "Now Behold The Lamb"(Kirk Franklin) at Edwardsville Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Kansas City, K.S. She always loved to dance but never thought dancing would become apart of her. She was all about singing and stepping.
At the age of 10 Atiya & her family then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. As the years went by she realized this is what God has purposed her to do. In the year of 2006 she was introduced to Miming and received the prophetic anointing that is over her life from Prophetess Tracy Foreman. As much as she love to sing and step Atiya knew it was time to do God's work. She prayed, fasted, researched, and studied to get a full understanding of what "miming" really is all about. She watched videos of different types of mime dances and learned alot. Now mime dancing is what she loves best.
Having dreams was one thing for Atiya. But having visions and hearing God's voice was another. She always wanted to get close to God but was afraid she would not please him. God allowed prophecies to go forth through her during a Sunday service and Atiya ministered to 5 people(1 including a 16yr old girl). She dreamed about becoming a mime dancer but she never thought it would come to pass. But Atiya never gave up because God was in the midst of her life and she believed that the Lord will make a way on her behalf.
Now she sings, mime, praise dance, coregraph dances, step, minister through praise and worship, and she is also beginning to write songs. Atiya is a member as well as under the covering & leadership of Pastor & Apostle Victor & Stephanie Thompson out of God's Temple Of Zion International Fellowship located in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Atiya flows through her gifts prophetically, and she now know that God is very well pleased with her work through ministry.
